Overview
Like my children's books, illustrating and designing retro video game packaging, game assets, and posters provided me with a creative outlet outside of my nine-to-five. Over a few years, I worked on several game packages for Atari 2600 homebrew developers. For most games, I illustrated and designed the game boxes, multi-page manuals, and cartridge labels. For some games, such as Panky the Panda, I also wrote the copy for the game box and manual.
Below is a poster I created to celebrate the launch of the Halo 2600 homebrew game. I used the game's full source code to create the main character sprite. A copy of the poster was gifted to Ed Fries, the developer of the original Xbox game.
